Red Bluff Kiwanis Club – Currently I have been a member of the Red Bluff Kiwanis Club since 2009. I became a member of this club because my grandfather Andy Houghton has been a member since the 80’s, and he enjoyed what the club represents. I feel blessed to be in the position to help others, especially children of our area which is the focus of Kiwanis. From all the numerous events our club puts on to the fundraisers we run this club has benefitted the lives of so many people and I look forward to serving many more years in this club.
Red Bluff – Tehama County Chamber of Commerce – I served on the Board for the Chamber for a couple terms and love what the chamber represents. Being in a small town you rely heavily on shopping local which is what the chamber promotes. I loved being part of the chambers different events throughout the year including Ribbon cuttings for new businesses, the Farmers markets held every Wednesday and so much more. Even though I’m no longer on the board my support for the chamber still continues.
Tehama County Farm Bureau – Our office is a current member of the Farm Bureau and work with them throughout the year with various events they put on. Agriculture is such a vital part of the economy here in Tehama County and creates numerous jobs for many people in the area. I’m proud to team up with them on certain events, and represent a company Nationwide that teams up with the Farm Bureau as well. I’ve been honored to receive a very special award also from the Farm Bureau “Insurance Agent of the Year”.
